b'University Teaching & Learning Project10 This year\'s UTLP explored applications of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (AR/VR) in teaching environments. The AR/ VR UTLP team included six faculty members representing multiple disciplines, including Arts & INNOVATIONSciences, the Business School, and Libraries. The UTLP showed that the prospects for further exploration in AR/VR are increasingly interesting to a broad cross-section of the William & Mary community, with about a dozen faculty members interested in using VR in their courses over the next few semesters. STLI plans to expand AR/VR offerings and research in the coming year.Students in Liz Losh\'s Game Theory classClassical Studies\' Jess Paga tests out theget some hands-on VR experience Oculus at the T&L Symposium Bella Ginzbursky-Blum, UTLP Participant:"Participating in the VR/AR UTLP this year was instrumental in helping me develop virtual field trips for my Russian language students. We aren\'t able to travel to Russia, but we can visit virtually and give students an immersive experience they wouldn\'t otherwise have."Dawn Edmiston, UTLP Participant: "Our UTLP not only opened my eyes to the possibilities of immersive technology in marketing, but also provided me with practical skills that I immediately shared in the classroom with our students. "Pablo Yaez, UTLP Administrator:STLI\'s work is rooted in the needs and interests of our faculty. The collaboration and deep exploration intrinsic to the UTLP provides a critical and unique opportunity to achieve our goals."'
